Along with pallet loading zones, conveyor systems can be used to move products or materials up and down catwalk storage systems. One example is a powered inclined conveyor system.
Powered Inclined Conveyor System
Here is an example of a storage and retrieval application using a powered inclined conveyor system to transport plastic bins from the floor level to the catwalk level. The conveyor is powered to run in both directions, feeding the system and retrieving documents. Both ends of the powered inclined conveyor have a small section of gravity conveyor to temporarily stage the bins.
