Moving Pallet Rack Systems

Our installers and truckers have experience with moving pallet rack systems, and almost any other type of storage system, to other facility and warehouse locations throughout California. We provide services to "relocate" storage systems including teardown, packaging & shipping, and re-installing the system at your new warehouse location.

Moving pallet racks is one of the most common needs in our industry. Our experienced team of installers and drivers work safe & effecient to get the job completed as fast as possible helping the customer experience as little down-time as possible.

When moving pallet rack and other storage systems, we have found that this is a great time to re-evaluate the customer's current material handling needs. During this time we may provide you with AutoCAD drawings illustrating the most efficient use of the new space for your specific storage requirements. Building clear height, exit and dock door locations, and column placement are some factors that are considered when determining your new layout.

Operation needs, type of storage product, and turn-over time are important in the design phase to maximize prodution and efficiency. We work closely with our engineering department to obtain all neccessary drawings and component calculations in order to submit to the city and obtain building permits.

- Teardown existing storage system and material handling equipment.
- Package, prepare, and ship to the new warehouse or location.
- Layout and design to evaluate optimum use of new storage area.
- Submit drawings and neccessary paperwork to obtain new building permits, if neccessary.
- Installion of new pallet rack and storage systems at your new location.
- Schedule inspections, and receive final building permits for occupancy, if neccessary.

The following criteria needs to be addressed when evaluating new storage area:

- Storage volume and warehouse layout: ceiling height, dock doors, exit doors, office area, and column locations? Temporay or permanent location?
- Capacity: What are your needs today and tomorrow? What type of storage expansion phasing will meet your needs?
- Type of storage: pallets, cartons, boxes, etc.?
- Material handling equipment such as conveyor, hoists, cranes, etc.
- Sprinkler system: overhead and in-rack sprinklers?
- Energy efficient lighting: T5, T8, light timers, automatic sensory lighting?

Project Management

Our project management team can provide layout & design of your warehouse. The design process will analyze your company operations to determine your best storage solution. Management will develop a project budget and a schedule timeline, and will cooridinate with multiple contractors, architects, and inspectors untill project completion. Having site management ensures a safe working environment, accurate inventory control, approved change orders, system test & reviews, and final inspection sign-off for permitting.

Building Permits

C&SS can assist our customers through the permitting process and help them obtain their building permits.

To successfully make it through the permitting process one must have a good understand of the following:

- City codes
- Buidling codes
- ADA requirements
- Fire requirements
- Safety requirements

Obtaining building permits is a time consuming process which can easlily take up to 4-8 weeks. With the experience and knowledge of designing and building storage solutions, C&SS would like to form a partnership with companies to effectively reach their goals of material handling

Move Pallet Racks

When we move pallet rack storage systems it requires us to evaluate your existing system to your current needs. In many cases we will move your existing pallet rack system into your new facility without any changes. When we evaluate your new storage space and material handling needs, we may find that your old warehouse pallet racks are not going to take full advantage of the new space without making some adjustments.
