Pallet
Rack
Pallet racks are the
most popular type of storage system used for warehouse storage.
Warehouse pallet racks can be designed for pallets, boxes, cartons,
furniture, carpet, records archives, crates, bulk storage, and almost
any other type of raw goods and finished products. Pallet racks
are one of the best storage solutions for the distribution and manufacturing
industry. We offer heavy duty pallet racks to light duty pallet
racks, and everything in between.
Our engineering department
can design a storage system for almost any application in the material
handling industry. C&SS has been a pallet
rack dealer with over 15 years of experience. We are new pallet
rack dealer for Hannibal, Mecalux, Jaken, Sammons, Interlake, to
name a few. We also stock many other brands of new and used pallet
racking.

There are 4 basic types
of pallet rack storage in warehouse applications:
Selective Pallet
Rack
Selective
pallet rack is the most common type of pallet rack system. Each
pallet position has direct access from the pick aisle. For standard
pallets, the most common size is 8 and 12 feet wide to store 2 or
3 pallets side by side. The most common depth is 42" or 44",
but many other applications are better suited using 36" or
48" deep. Selective pallet rack storage provides the quickest
pick time for picking or pulling a pallet, but also the least dense
system.
Drive-In Pallet
Rack
Drive-in pallet rack
storage is designed to maximize your storage density, up to 50%
or more than selective pallet racks. Drive-in rack are mostly used
in the food and beverage industry, and any other industry where
there are large quantities of the same product. For dual
pallet systems, Twinlode drive-in
pallet rack increase density and decreases labor handling costs
50% by moving two loads at a time.
Pushback Pallet
Rack
Pushback
pallet rack is an accumulative storage system that allows you
to store up to five pallets deep per level.
All of the pallets on each level, except the last, are placed on
a set of trollys/carts that are pushed along the rolling rails.
These rails are built on a slight incline, lower at the front, so
that the pallets at the back move forward when the pallets closest
to the aisle are removed.
In a pushback pallet
rack storage system, all the pallets placed on a particular level
must contain the same SKU and are managed using the Last In First
Out (LIFO) system.
Pallet Flow
Rack
Pallet
flow rack is a storage system where pallets are fed from one
side, and retrieved from the other. This system uses a combination
of rails and wheels. The rails are built on a slight incline, higher
on the side that is fed, so that the pallets move forward when they
are loaded into the system.
In pallet flow rack storage,
all the pallets placed on a particular level must contain the same
SKU and are managed using the First In First Out (FIFO) system.
Carton Flow
Rack
Carton
flow rack is a storage system wherecartons are fed from one
side, and retrieved from the other. This system uses a combination
of rails and wheels. The rails are built on a slight incline, higher
on the side that is fed, so that the cartons move forward when they
are loaded into the system.
In carton flow rack storage,
all the cartons placed on a particular level must contain the same
SKU and are managed using the First In First Out (FIFO) system.
Pallet Rack
Installation
Pallet
rack installation requires an experienced material handling
crew with the propper tools and the right equipment. The pallet
rack installation should follow the design layout, which is prepared
in advance by the project management team.
Move Pallet
Rack
Our installers can move
pallet rack to another location or warehouse facility. We provide
services to "relocate" storage systems including teardown, packaging
& shipping, and re-installing the system at your new warehouse location.
Moving Pallet
Rack Systems
When moving
pallet rack systems to another location or warehouse facility,
our material handling experts will evaluate your new storage area
to see if your getting the maximum efficiency out of that area.
Used Pallet
Rack
C&SS has the largest
inventory of used pallet rack
for sale in San Diego County. The benefits of refurbished pallet
racks include savings in both time and money. Our inventory

solid deck, metal deck, and wire deck, and lumber decking.
Structural
Pallet Rack and Heavy Duty Pallet Racks
Structural pallet rack
systems are primarily used for heavy-duty storage. Please call for
more details on heavy duty pallet rack appliactions.
Interlake Pallet
Rack
Interlake
pallet racks are an industry standard. Interlake steel corporation
was established in 1964. Their influence in the material handling
industry has been key in the fundamental development of pallet racks
(both structural and roll-formed), drive in/drive thru, mezzanines,
bulk storage, and cantiliver rack.

Conveyor & Storage
Solutions
C&SS is ready to become your pallet rack dealer and assist
you and your company to achieve your objectives through improved
material handling. We can schedule a meeting to evaluate your needs
and review your options. We can generate an AutoCAD layout with
the information collected. Then we submit a final layout design
and budget for apporval. Once the parts are ordered and shipped
to your warehouse we can install the new system. We can also assist
you with the permitting process.
Layout design is critical in order to optimize storage capacity
and product selectivity while minimizing operating cost. Column
and doorway placement, local building & fire codes, slab and
soil specs, product requirements, warehouse size and SKU management
systems are considered when designing a new layout. Please feel
free to call any of our friendly staff at (619) 255-1428, or Email
