
There were many seismic engineering requirements for the construction of this heavy duty storage mezzanine.
Each mezzanine column had extra large footplates that were secured to the warehouse floor with 6 anchors.
Concrete footings were also required below each mezzanine column in the warehouse floor, as shown in this photo.
In order to obtain mezzanine permits, this design had to be approved by the structural engineer and the folks at the Building Department.
