PROJECT SCOPE OF WORK

Designing a System for Various Sizes

CV Plumbing Supply’s new warehouse in Oxnard CA needed a design that would accommodate their dynamic inventory storage. The C&SS team had to put the warehouse into CAD to design a space that suited their needs. The system had to store a variety of items, from small fittings to 20’ plumbing pipe stock. To hold the warehouse supplies, C&SS had to develop a complaint storage system that needed to be permitted with the city.

The design had to maximize vertical storage space while adhering to fire/building codes. Developing the storage, Jeremy & Kurt had to include storage solutions for various sized products. This included different storage solutions to cater to the company’s needs.

To store various products that range from different sizes, we added different storage systems. The shelving catwalk system is suited for small to medium products. The system allows for efficient picking and order fulfillment while providing a highly organized system for improved inventory management. The cantilever system vertically manages the storage of long bulky items, such as PVC and steel pipe. These systems safely store the products on a multi-tier high-capacity system.

OUTCOMES

Visibility from Both Ends of the Warehouse

The final product successfully maximized the storage of the warehouse. Accommodating a wide range of products, from vertical storage to a striking catwalk system. The solutions maximize their storage capacity while adhering to all fire and building codes. The project resulted in a fully permitted and compliant City approved system. Delivering a safe and efficient storage solution that accommodates a wide range of different sized products.

The layout provides a visually striking structure, adjacent to the storefront and rear, providing employees with visibility of the store. The design allows for visibility, as well as quick and seamless product retrieval. C&SS created a solution that balances safety, functionality, and presentation for the trusted and customer-focused company.
